Hello all. I"m building my first PC and am ordering just a few pieces at a time. I just received my new Thermaltake Tsunami case and my 500W Ultra X-Connect PSU (very nice). So I now have the case and PSU. I'm now ready to purchase the mobo, CPU, ram and video. This PC will be built for high end business operations (database and web developemt) and home video editing (nothing too extreme).

So what do you think of these choices? All feedback and recommendations is appreciated.

PS - I may not actually buy from TigerDirect. Just using these links.....

Probably good hardware choices- particularly the PSU (way too many people skimp there and wonder why they get lousy reliability).

That being said, I'd avoid TiggerDirect like the plague. I only deat with them once, but they were bad enough to teach me my lesson.

Thanks.

I'm just nervous about buying the mobo and buying the wrong thing. Suddenly finding out when I install it that it was Type A when I needed Type B and such.....

TIGERDIRECT IS PIECE A CRAP, I PLACED AN ORDER ON JULY 25 AND THEY DIDN'T SHIP MY ORDER TIL AUGEST 5, I CALLED IN, THEY SAID THEY ARE UPGRADING THEIR WAREHOUSE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID "ANYTHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH TODAY?" RIGHT AFTER HE ANSWERED MY QUESTION, TRYING TO GET ME OFF THE PHONE OR SOMETHING, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOOK 11 DAYS TO SHIP MY ORDER WHEN THE WEBSITE SAID IN-STOCK SHIP IN 24HRS.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor

RAM:2x1024MB Corsair Value Select PC3200 DDR
VC: eVGA GeForce 6800 GT 256MB PCI-Express (Dual DVI + TV Out)
Nice setup. Shouldn't have trouble playing pretty much anything at maxed out settings. And if it does, you can just add another 6800GT. ;)
