Double Buffering

I have an ASUS CUV4X Mb, 128 RAM, Win98SE, and a Samsung HD SV2042H.
In MSSYS the double buffering is on (double buffering=1)
I thought this drive would have this off (=0).
Any ideas would be appreciated.

this setting is only for old SCSI adapters useful. It doesn't matter if it is set to either '0' or '1'. I've set it to '0'

Thank you for the prompt reply.
That is what I "seemed" to remember, but I wanted to double check.
Thanks again.
