Feel free to chime in with all the other deals but for those of us who use dotster on a regular basis this is a nice little reward. I haven't had a bad experience with them yet. If you plan on registering a number of domains go check out OpenSRS.org...

Happy Holidays!

Good deal! A few questions though...

Is Dotster one of the good places to register a domain with? Or is there some sorta of ranking online that I can go look at (Something similar to resellerrating.com for e-tailers)? Also, does anyone know of any good web hosting (Something that gives you the most bang for your buck)?

Dotster is one of the best in my opinion. Their regular price is $15/year. Others include:

Network Solutions - avoid like the plague
Register.com - supposed to be good

er, screw this... here is one link that lists a ton:

Good luck! I'd definately recommend dotster.com for price and good response to queries. Your experience may vary, yadda yadda...

I've used dotster to host my web page for about a year. In the whole year, I have found my web page down perhaps twice for about 4 hours each. Not real bad. Their tech support has little to be desired. There will communicate via email, and I have found that my wall gives better answers. Meaning - no answer is better than the wrong answer. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for. A cheap hosting service with little assist. They also do not support Perl and other things most major web pages needs. Of course that is unless you want to start paying big bucks.
