My guess would be file permissions. Make sure the account that's uploading the images (either the app pool identity, IUSR account, or ASPNET) has read/write access to the directory.
 
If user permissions haven't changed since you started, then you might want to check that you haven't exceeded some upload limit and have enough space available on your server.
