Dothan out in May!

The first batch of Dothans are suppose to be out in May! Supposedly Intel is offering the 2.8 Dothans first then spread from that including ULV Dothans and 2.0+ Dothans.... Excited?


Also has anyone got a release date information of the Alvinso chipset?

not me!! I just bought a T41. I'd cry :brokenheart: if the price drops by $200 2 weeks after I 'own' it (after my 30 day free look ends)

Hey... the T41 is an awesome machine. And it will be for the next 3-4 years or so...

Its gonna be outdated soon anyway... if not in 1 months... maybe 3.

i would say 3 months... even if dothan released in may, ibm wont get enough till june probably to start up anything past a paper launch...

and i jsut ordered my t41 too, but i knew this was going to happen... i just needed to get a laptop immidiatly...

Ive been holding out w/ my PII IBM Laptop, its killing me, everyday i think to my self i cant take it any more then i go and stress test PIV's and Centrino 1.5's and am dissapointed. i think that the centrino can be faster if only they made em > 2.0 GHZ, id like to see a dual centrino in a laptop, with a 15,000 rpm drive...but there would be no battery life to speak of (if they had one id prolly say who cares...) they need to start swinging for the fences on laptops, i think its sad that they still suck so bad, someone please do something Im checking out the Dothan---my whole infrastructure is toast...

Eddie... Its Dothan... The next generation of mobile CPU's to be launched by intel. Its supposed to have 2 mb l2 cache and clock speed higher than the Pentium Ms...

It was spoken about in this months PC Mag, but it looked like that wasnt for awhile down the road.
