DOT code reading for tire age

I found a moderately local set of wheels & snow tires that should fit my Forester, I'm trying to figure out how old the tires are. The seller sent me this, he says it's every numerical string on the tire (though notably I don't see a size...):

Is there enough data there to figure out when these things were made?

I'm using this as my guide:

To me, it looks like he cut off the date stamp in the top photo.

Here are some examples of our tires on our two vehicles:

First, our Murano's Contis:

The Goodyear Eagle LS's that came off the Murano:

The Bridgestones on our old Camry:

In each example, notice the LAST four digits you can see. On the Contis, the digits are 3711, which equates to the 37th week of 2011, or 3711.

The same goes for the other two pics....the Goodyears were produced on the 11th week of 2011, or 1111 on the sidewall, and the Bridgestones were produced on the 7th week of 2009, or 0709.

Looks like your seller cut off the date stamp in the top photo....makes you wonder why.

I asked him specifically, he says that was the end.

I'd just go look at them myself if it weren't 80 miles one-way.

one side of a tire has a partial dot number, the other side has the complete number that includes the week number and the year of production.

Duh! Completely forgot about that. OP should ask the seller to examine the other side of the tire, probably where the answer is. Thx, Slacker.

You guys were absolutely right, he never bothered to flip it over.

I had nothing better to do so I made the drive. Tires were made 2708 so I grabbed them, should be enough for one winter. Tires + perfect condition wheels for $350, 4 hours in the car, and $25 in tolls.

Not too bad.
