DOS the RIAA

Why don't the makers of KaZaA and other P2P programs just have it so that your computer will ping the RIAA or MPAA or whomever is suing ever minute or so, just to take down their networks so that they cannot sit around on their thumbs all day and make up lawsuits?

Only way we are going to fight this is to protest the high prices of cd's and media. Hit them in the wallet. The RIAA is a backstabbing POS anyway. They act like they are behind the artists, when actually they are for the few big major record labels. The RIAA and the big dogs determine what music gets released and what you are going to hear.

There was a report showing that CD sales would go down 33% within 5 years because people prefer digital music more and more, and CD's might go the way of vinyl soon. THerefore many CD publishers just lowered the price of their CD's to $13-$15. It was on CNN. The price change will take effect Oct 1st.

Truthfully, if there was a service that offered songs for like $.79 each at 160kps I'd buy like crazy. Nobody's doing that, so pirating is filling the customer's desire. So what does the RIAA do? Instead of listening to the customer's needs, they start suing everyone that doesn't want to keep following the old ways. Bunch of idiots.

exactly, but for 13-15 is still high price for a CD, i'llpay like 10, espically if half the song aren;t any good, i would pay for digital music that was .79 a song
