"DOS prompt" in Win 2K??

How do I get a DOS prompt in W2K. Not a DOS box, but pure DOS, no memory managers etc. Like the old F8 in Win98 at boot up. Thanks. R.

You don't.

Win2k isn't floated over DOS like win9x et al.

Native DOS was removed. You just have the DOS emulator included with the win2k installation.

Go to Start Run and type cmd.

This will bring up the cmd prompt. Granted it is an emulator.

Thanks--I am trying to run a memory test program that will only run from DOS. Do you know any W2K memory tester?? R

why not get yourself a DOS boot disk and just run the test util from there?
