I'm trying to get java to work on my computer and I'm doing something wrong. This is what I did:
I installed the Java2 SDK onto my computer. Seems like it went on okay. Then, I wrote a short text program and saved it as Hello.java. I went to Dos to compile it (javac Hello.java) and it says it's a bad command. I'm almost sure that's the command I used at school, but maybe that's wrong?
Anyway, I've looked, and there's a javac.exe in the java folder, but when I click on it a dos window appears, some writing scrolls down and the window disappears before I can read it. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.
