DOS games on win2k: here's an idea...

I was just thinking last night about how it would be possible to play DOS games in Windows 2000, with sound and such. Then I remembered how well DOSemu works in Linux. I am wondering, would it work if I compiled DOSemu under Cygwin and then ran it from Win2k? Has anyone actually tried this?
