Dorms and Computers

I wouldnt worry about a desktop or a CRT, but lcd's and laptops need locks in dorms.

I actually have the same question. I'm going to be a frosh next year at UC davis and I'm thinking of getting a 2405fpw or 2005fpw if i back down. I'm in brand new dorms and everything, would a 2405 attract too much attentioN?

I dunno, but having a big monitor meant people would come often to watch movies on my huge screen.

Laptop, I'd be careful with.
Desktop, well, if its with an LCD then you may want to be careful. CRT, prolly no concerns. Also, if your PC is bland... prolly no worries either, but if it lights up your dorms like Saturday Night Fever with neon lights and flashing crap everywhere... AKA as a RICER PC.... then you just maybe attracting a little too much attention. 😛

You had a projector?

I had a 22" CRT. It's a two person job to move it.
