Is that too high? What do you guys pay?
Link to Floorplan

The price doesn't include a food plan, however it does include utilities. The dorms are new just opened 1 year ago. The location is in 130 st in NYC, inside of our campus.

That's a freaking bargain in NY. I would go to CCNY just to get the cheap housing if I lived in NY

That's not all that out of the ordinary. Does that include food too?

Edit: Looked at the link - semi-private kitchen and bathroom, and in NYC no less... yeah that's not so bad.

I only paid ~$250 a month (plus more for food), but that was for a 10x16 room with communal bathrooms and a microwave on the first floor, and that was in the cornfields of Indiana. I heard rumors of a stove on the second floor, but never saw it.

Your dorm has a kitchen!?! Anyway I have an apartment 1.5miles from the school and I pay $370/month (utilities included). I am renting from my roommate, whos parents own the place.

Wow, that's a steal. Especially considering how I'm doing in NYC. But I'm at midtown.

[edit] I forgot I am on my gf's account. -EGGO

no meal plan for us, looks like I'm looking at a diet consisting mainly of ramen noodles. :(

$775/mo to get laid on a nightly basis... do you think that's too much money?

How do you figure I'm going to get laid every night?
How do you NOT get laid on a nightly basis?

I ask myself that question every time I look in the mirror. :) But honestly, I don't think thats going to work, since I have to share the room with some one else.

At my school room and board was like $7k a year, for 3 meals a day 7 days a week, and all utilities except cable TV. You could possibly get a single room, but generally had a roommate or two, and no kitchen, and a shared bathroom (for the floor). What you got there is an apartment, not a dorm room, and it's a reasonably priced one for the location.

you won't find a better deal, even if you consider the neighborhood. its on campus and has utilities paid for... whats not to like?
