There's a new Mexican place here, I decided to go with the "hot" option for everything when ordering a burrito. I normally do fine with hot stuff, but this was not the typical mediocre hot you get at most places, this was REAL hot. Burning going in, and an hour later, burning going out.

It said hot, not white people hot :awe:

Is there any benefit to ordering delivery like doordash in terms of bonuses/rewards over time? I always just saw it as a lazy way to get food, but if there's benefits...
It's for the lazy. I order takeout from the restaurant and then go pick it up. The portions are more generous than Uber Eats orders and you get it hot. My son pisses me off with his Uber Eats orders.

Say I order a Big Mac and fries, which comes out to like $8. What would it actually cost to get to me, all in?

I frequently only do deals which I could get 2 for $6 Big Macs which has some built-in savings to allow me to pay doordash if it comes to it.
No idea, I've never used it, my laziness does not extend to paying people to deliver food.
Biggest issue I see here is people calling TacoHell and McStuff 'food'.

Neither is.
Yes, actually it is.

People without cars or can't leave their work(i.e Domino's employees) to go pickup can use those services.

But yeah, the premium for delivery is costly.

It's not only the delivery premium, the restaurants make less. Door Dash gets q cut of sale as well.

You can order Uber Eats for pickup too which avoids some of the cost and fees. I do that once or twice a month since I have Uber credits to work through and I can no longer depend on them being available to get me to\from the airport. Some restaurants don't mark up the menu items at all while others do. Whether portion size varies at all is going to depend on restaurant and person working. I've gotten some huge portions with Uber Eats and shitty portions when ordering directly from a restaurant before.

The restaurant still has to fork over money to Uber even if you are going to pickup, just call the restaurant.

.

That says 30% for uber delivery and 15% for uber pickup. Restaurants can't afford that kind of overhead.
