Doorbell Cameras

I don't have a doorbell ringer on my place. I assume I need one to use a doorbell camera? Or do they come with a ringer?

Ring Pro does not come with a ringer, it will ring your phone or any other device you enable with it. It also receives power from the existing ringer installation so at a minimum you would need to add a transformer to power it. I would imagine that any system not dependent on an existing doorbell installation would have to do something similar or be battery powered.

Per their support page, "the Ring Video Doorbell is compatible with AC-powered door chimes operating between 8-24 volts". If you need to buy one, a compatibility list is available here:

If you don't have an existing doorbell either you'll have to pull a power wire or you'll be recharging the battery fairly often. I know Ring has a battery built in.

Do all of the door bell cameras feed the signal to your phone? Just wondered if they could go to a TV or monitor?
