I have an a64 x2 4400, 2x 7800 gtx, 2 gigs memory, asus a8n sli premium:

Doom 3 Timedemo demo 1: 1600x1200 4xaa, high quality: 58.7 fps

This seems low. I've tried to vary the in game settings but the max FPS i get is still about 60.

I now have tried changing forceware settings but FPS stays around the same.

I see others getting in the 80's.

It's almost as if i'm not in SLI but when i disable SLI my FPS drops in half. Am i missing a setting to make this run faster?

How do you uncap it? I've read a bunch of 7800 reviews where to fPs is over 100 at certain resolutions. They don't mention uncapping of the FPS.

Edit: My FPS do seems to be capped at 60, although i read that for timedemo's it is uncapped but obviously not for me.

I've looked at my forceware control panel. If i try to create a modified profile of doom3 under the SLI rendering mode the only choices i have are SLI multi gpu rendering and sli single gpu rendering. There isn't a way to select AFR or the other modes. Am I missing a setting to be able to select there other modes?

EDIT: For some reason my DOOM 3 caps my framerate even in the timedemo at 60. That seems to be the problem. I set the AA to 0 and get the same FPS as when AA is set to 4. both are in the upper 50's. I run fraps during the timdemos and see the fps never go above 60 even with 0 AA.

I read that adding the line:
seta com_fixedTic "-1"
To the doom 3 config is supposed to uncap the max framerate but it doesn't seem to work for me. Any ideas?

That is nice and interesting to see what your cards can do, but I would turn v-sync back on. Doom3 tears like a mutha without v-sync. Obviously, ~60FPS in Doom3 is totally playable @ 1600x1200 4xAA w/ v-sync enabled. I can run Doom3 at these settings (1680x1050 actually) with a single 7800GTX, but it starts to feel a bit less smooth at 8xAA, and 16xAA makes my card cry. How does your SLI rig handle 8xAA and 16xAA?

your epenis is huge

LOL, nippyjun's epenis is bigger than Rollo's!!

What's interesting about Nippyjuns epenis is that he has a 4400CPU compared to my 3800 and only scores 2fps higher at Doom 3.

So my epenis is still rampaging....
