I was just overclocking my 7800GT a bit, and testing it out. I noticed, same as previously, that if I run timedemo1 it's hideously choppy the first time, and the HD is chugging away, but the second time, it's smooth and the HD is silent.

1st run 57fps, 2nd run 73fps.

Does it do that for everyone, or is something silly? Edit: Also, which would be the "useful benchmark"?
