Does anyone have any info on Doom3? In game screens? System requirements? Release date?

Heck, summer 2003? I was so impatient waiting for the Doom III, that, believe it or not, about half the year ago I emailed Gramie Divine @idsoftware.com not hoping for a reply but he actually replied he next time Outlook Express looked for mail (half an hour) and all that he wrote to my question 'When the Doom III game is about to be released' was 'When it's done'. I know it was stupid of me to ask that question but I didn't think anyone was going to read it anyway. I saved that e-mail, printed it and posted it on my wall as a decoration and I'm very happy looking at it.

not only that but your gona need some serious juice to make it work, specially if you enable High quality settings. The reason that it's being push back is most likely they want to have the NV30, R300 and DX9 in wide release coz that will most likely be the requirements.

Hell, Summer 2003 is okay for me. I need to get a new computer by then and hopefully we'll be able to have 3.0 Ghz computers. I remember the moment someone said that Nine Inch Nails (May favorite band) would be doing the music and the sound would be in 5.1, I bought a 5.1 sound card and 5.1 speakers. I also went out on a limb after I got addicted to Doom and bought as much Doom stuff as I could. I bought the original Doom, Collector's Doom which has Doom I,Doom ][, and Final Doom. Doom ][ CDROM and Doom ][ Floppy. I'm now trying to get the Ultimate Doom and Final Doom original releases. I'm a nut, an id nut 🙂. Hey dmw16, if you get a chance, go to http://doomworld.com/ or some other dependable Doom site to get the Doom ]|[ Legacy video and the gameplay video from E3; both are extremely impressive. God bless id Software. We need more people like John Carmack - Upright, diligent, hard-working people that find joy in learning more rather than being out partying or doing illegal $hit.

I bought a DOOM II hat from the iD doom store at the time. How's that.

Just make sure you get the best video card when the time comes and make sure you have 128Mb card coz DooM3 will need at least 80Mb for textures.
