doom3 at E3 on 9700pro. what res was it runnin at?

hi,
does anyone know what resolution doom3 was running at, at E3 2002? i know that it was in medium detail settings(it said in pc zone uk)
i get the impression that its runnin at 1600*1200, cos when i downloaded the screanshots it was measured at 1600*1200.

the reason being that if the 9700pro can run doom3 at a reasonable res, then i`ll buy a 9700 now, if not then i`ll wait till nv30

any ideas, anyone.

hmm I would reccomend you wait anyway..... until a card comes out that can do Doom ]|[ at 16x12 at High detail settings and EVERYTHING maxxed out, whether that card be an nV30 or an R350, or who knows, maybe neither of those will even be able to do that :Q

the game is gorgeous btw, i agree....

i have a Ti4600 right now, but i will definately upgrade when this game comes out

Doom3 is suposedly optimized to run on Geforce3 and radeon 8500 technology or higher so im better that the 9700 and NV30 can run it with max details at high resolution

i think it's crazy that every time a new game comes out you have to upgrade your video card. that gets rough on the bank account. it would be nice if they just made video cards upgradeable like where you can just install a chip. i can dream at least but it will never happen.
