If they don't have at least a nod to the BFG 9000 in the movie, I will be upset.

Ill probably go see it, the chainsaw scene in the preview looks pretty cool :)

But it's a movie based off of a successful video game. There's already a built up market. Sure we can half-@ss on the plot, acting, and the script; as long as we have killer CG, we're set. Sure, my dog has hacked up better written stuff on my rug, but two words: THE ROCK. How can we not make eleventy-billion dollars?!?

I think it's cool that a lot of it will be first person, but yeah it's pretty much guaranteed to suck.

I have noticed that any movie that has the Roc in it tends to be bad acting and all action. :thumbsdown: Unless you are in the mood for mindless violence.

Isn't the one thing about Doom that counts, the atmosphere?
It was hardly groundbreaking any other way (okay, cosmetically pretty appealing).

If the film has the atmosphere, it's half-way there! You're hardly going to get a plot-heavy, weaving tale of intrigue and depth. It's Doom ffs! Can't expect, hope for, or even *want* much more.
