Nope. I downloaded and played it after work last night, so it was still the 27th.

BTW: MS releases XBLA games on Wednesdays. 🙂
 
LOL..yeah, this was announced and released at the very beginning of the X06 press conference yesterday.

Online co-op plus 4 player deathmatch. So far the reviews have been fairly positive just from the fun factor of playing it online.

I dropped the $10 on Doom and now I'm questing why I did that. I played for a bit last night and I guess I was hoping for something different, but in the end, it's the same old Doom.

That's what kept me from purchasing it even though I kept hearing about how much fun the online co-op and deathmatch were. Still couldn't justify the $10 cost...
 
You guys are nuts, best 10$ I've spent on XBLA so far. Actually the only 10$ game I've purchased. Yeah it's the same old Doom, and that is what makes it great. Multiplayer is just as fun as it was 13 years ago in the highschool computer lab on 386s, except now I can play it from my couch on an HDTV with a wireless gamepad.

10$ = 1 movie ticket. I will play this for much much longer than 1.5 hours.

I still have my Doom CDs for the PC, a 20" monitor is fine for 320x240 graphics 🙂

The co-op might be fun though. Does it include the Doom II levels or just Doom I?

Just the four episodes from Doom 1. Doom 2 was much more than just levels, like nwe weapons, enemies, and better graphics.
 
and you know what sucks about this XBL model? if you are sick of the game you can't sell it!
i sure hope that fiber optics broadband and progress on bandwidth in general will never catch up to the ever-expanding storage medium of DVD, BluRay, HDDVD or whatever, if so, we'll be playing console games by downloading them and never get to sell them back if we don't like the game!

i personally only bought 2 XBL games and I love them both, Uno and SF2 (Texas hold em i got during the free 2 days). I'm thinking whether to pull the trigger (pun intended) on Doom, seeing I have exactly 800 MSPoints left.
