Isn't August the month studios push "bombs" out to? They must be getting bad reactions from early test showings.

Any movie buffs here that can comfirm my fears?

Last summer was so front loaded and not typical of what the summer release schedule should look like.

Saw went into wide release on the 29th last year to capitalize on the Halloween weekend.

Just a random number.

The rule is that you keep making sequels until it becomes unprofitable, then you make one more just to be sure.
