Doom III thread in OT - can you say "NDA violation"?

The last board I was on (major board) that permitted discussion of the leaked D3 alpha no longer exists. The guy's discussing the E3 leak, offering it for download/hosting, and basically tempting fate as to whether or not the gods of iD will decide to follow with a lawsuit.

I like being able to post here. Please cut this thread down.

Got it. Thanks.

Aside from offering it for download, if somebody discussed software that they got a leak of, and id tried to sue me for letting it happen on my forum, I'd fight back to the point of bankruptcy and then counter-sue the hell out of them for harassing me for something someone else did.

Unless YOU sign an NDA, if you happen to encounter it you can talk all you want about a product. Of course having a copy of it would still be pirating, but talking about it isn't illegal. Unless you exposed some trade secrets or something.

If you've got the money to fight id software, feel free. Somehow I think it's easier just for the mods to delete his thread rather then deal with a potential lawsuit. That's kind of how this lawsuit stuff works. It's not worth the time/money to fight, so you just roll over.
