Ugh....I love both of these game...but I went with HL in the end.

Did you do it just for nostalgic reasons, or did you really enjoy Mario 3 over Doom? I almost voted for Mario b/c of nostalgia (not a bad thing!).

Of course HL is way ahead of D2 now that they require GameSpy registration to vote. Nearly every HL user will have a GameSpy account because GameSpy was pretty much required to find games to play HL multiplayer. Whereas, many many D2 players don't haven't a GameSpy account (and who's going to register for one just for a silly little poll?)
