Ok my computer specs are in the signature at the end of this post. I'm running doom 3 with 16x AF and 2x AA. When I run the time demo, there are 4 specific points where the frames slow down so much it almost freezes, like its loading a texture or something. The first is when the second hell spawn thing appears. The second is when the guy enters a dark room and turns the flash light on. It's like a texture loading or something. What part of my hardware is causing this? I see the Anandtech benchmarks where 2.8GHZ CeleronD's are getting around 45fps which is what my timedemos are ending up at, and I know it's because of the pauses. Anyone experience this??

I tried rasing the cachemegs setting thing up to 256 but the stuttering is still there, although I did pick up about 12 fps.

Anything running in the background?
Are you running the new Catalysts with Doom 3 optimizations?

Nothing running in the backround, I use EndItAll2 before running any games and yes I'm using the new Doom 3 hot Catalyst drivers. It seems to me when new textures or lighting is used it happens. Like I said when the second hell spawn things appears there is one of the slowdowns which is right around the time a huge yellow light from fire comes on. Then when the flashlight is turned on, and also when a large room os entered that is filled with all crazy kinds of rotating lights.

Is this a settings I'm missing in a tweak program or something? All I use is Power Strip and the only box checked is "Disable dupport for driver options". I have the cachemegs adjustment set to 128, Other than everything is defaukt (And slight overclocking).
