hi, does anyone know if doom3 resurrection of evil has a built in demo for benchmarking purposes like the original doom3 had? cheers

The original doom 3 benchmark was not very good. The timedemos do not use physics or AI so they do not reflect in game performance. Moreover, physics and AI are what are used on the 2nd thread (doom 3 is multithreaded) so timedemos put pentium 4s with HT (and will put dual core) at a disadvantage over fast single CPUs (the athlon 64) when in fact their performance is very similar.

The timedemo is for benchmarking graphics cards, and it does what it is meant to do well.
