I can't seem to get mouse button 3 (scroll button) to work in this game. Nor mouse button 4 & 5. I have several optical mouse's and it won't work for any of them. The regular scroll button won't work either (need it for next/prev weapon). I've tried all sorts of bindings in the various mouse proggies.

Is my Doom 3 install hosed or what?

Also, if someone could email the humus tweak, I'd really appreciate it (PM for my email, or maybe look in my profile, I think its there).

One I tried is an IBM optical Navigator (in researching this I found posts elsewhere indicating the drivers are rather poor).

The other I have tried to date is a GE wireless optical mouse. I'll have to look into the exact model when I get home. I noticed in the device manager that it uses an IBM driver. Kinda wonder if it's the same driver used in the model above.

It's win2k sp4 & the drivers on the mouse suite install disks. Maybe I gotta look into updated drivers?

Yeah, I wanna know why Doom 3 can't handle them. It's not a questions about mouse buttons in general. They work everywhere but D3. Thought maybe somebody could coonfirm that they bind the extra buttons to controls in D3. I wanna use one for sprinting, and the scroll buttons for next/prev weapons.

Maybe somebody would know a work around, like how to set up cfg file to do it. Or maybe I should save my saved games and reinstall D3.

Hey Thugs, Can't tell what driver version I got in there. Damn Hurricane hit up here yesterday. No power except here in my office downtown. Looks like all the Duke power guys are in FL. So we're screwed. No power expected for days. Meanwhile, my house is flooded, since no power, can't use my pumps or dehumidifiers etc. This sucks, my house is being ruined...
 
i know how ya feel Fern. ive got about $15k in damages to my house from Frances. (palm beach county) power was out for weeks.

anyways, uninstall those drivers and install Logitech drivers. there is also a gamers tweak program available. (that will most like solve your problem)

ill try and find some links for ya.

We think all the power company workers went down to FL to help (I'm in the mountains in Western NC). There was nobody from company even here. They didn't even start here untill 3 days after Ivan over.

Trees down everwhere, unfortunately a lot seemed to fall on houses. Guy across the street had his house and carport crushed. Some parts of I-40 have been lost in a landslide. They say will prolly be a couple of years b4 everything fixed (as far as roads/interstate).

Hope the insurance guys treat you right Thugs!
