Folks, I loved Doom 3 when it came out in 2004 and still think it is a benchmark for other games. Many effects and ideas I personally saw first in D3 show up in newer games, like PDAs, audio recordings and premonitions/ghost images. I thought the story, the game play and the creepy, moody lighting and sound effects made it a lot of fun and engrossing.
