Doom 1/2 on Windows XP?

Is there a way to get doom1/2 to run on windows XP? I've tried windoom but get an error...tried regular dos and it works but networking wont to play over LAN...i want my doom wads

DoomGL or Jdoom works great for me on XP. I am using the WAD's from Ultimate Doom, Doom2, and the 2 add-on packs.

Thanks am now playing doom 2, works great. Last time I played this was with a trident 1mb. Was a bit choppy to say the least. Forgot what a great game it is.

Get JDoom. It looks fantastic with all that eye candy. It also works for Doom, Doom2, Heretic and Hexen. Don't be alarmed at the frame rates. The Doom-engined games are capped at 32 fps no matter the resolution.:beer:

I use Jdoom and it is awesome. 8XAA, 4XFSAA, enlarged textures and 3D models. A lot of addons exist.
