Donuts Brought Into The Office

How many donuts would you take?

  • None, I don't like donuts.

  • 1

  • More than one, but I would sneak in the 2nd/3rd trips.

  • More than one - all at once. What?

  • I am a raging moron.

i always take just 1 donut. then if i see there are more left like an hour or so later and i still feel like one, i will grab another one.

unless it's a powdered donut or a plain one. then i will leave that crap there.

How many of those 30 are vegan? There may have been lard used making those donuts.

Typically one but if they're not all gone by about 2-3 hours in, I'll snag another. Not everyone likes donuts or is trying to cut back so two dozen means there will probably be about half a dozen in this scenario unclaimed.

This way everyone else gets exactly one half doughnut so that no one person gets more than everyone else.

First, who is the asshole who didn't bring enough donuts?

This is the correct answer to this thread.

I refuse to deal with the heard that stampedes when there is free food, so I always wait until after everyone else has gone. So in this case my answer would be zero.

We order donuts or bagels fairly often. But because we aren't idiots, we order more than we need. There are usually leftovers hanging around a couple days after that people will grab for a snack or whatever.

Spend the extra $10 and get enough FFS.

With 24 donuts for 30 people, a lot of people probably won't take any, especially the women. When people bring in donuts here, I'd say only about half the people ever take one. Still, take one at first. Go back later for seconds after everyone is in the office and had a chance. By then all that will be left are probably the powdered sugar ones (WHY do people insist on getting these, they make a mess and depending on the dress code, nobody wants to get powdered sugar on their work clothes) or the plain boring ones.

There were people who took 1/2 a donut. So, now the box has mangled donuts.

I'd take one if I took any....I have to be hungry and more importantly, hungry for donuts to eat one. There was an incident in my earlier years where I ate 2 dozen of donuts myself when I was 12. I learned that my stomach didn't like the donuts as much as my brain thought it would....

When it's early and there's a big selection, I'll definitely take one that I like.

A couple hours later, it's pretty likely there will be unclaimed donuts. If there's another one I like, I'll take a second donut. If there are still donuts at lunchtime, I'll probably take a third if there's one that I like.

I can easily resist donuts I'm not crazy about, but no self-control if any of my favorites left. Which for me pretty much applies to all food.

Kind of related: the company that stocks the vending machines switched brands of the cakes. I was good for at least two purchases a week of something - donuts or twinkies or hohos, stuff like that. I didn't buy candy bars or pretzels or chips. Now the new brand of pastries ("Mrs. Freshley's) is terrible, and I eat none. That's a plus.
