Tauren,
That's actually a very interesting philisophical question. People are quick to spout "I hate this, I hate that", before even really thinking about it. They say they hate all manner of things when, in fact they don't. For one thing, it is not possible to "hate" an inanimate object. Hate is a deep emotion that is reserved for things far more important then a car or a movie.
People are also prone to say that they "hate" this celebrity or that celebrity when, of course, they've never even met them. How can one hate another that one has never personally experienced?
Then there are those who confuse hate with other, less powerful emotions such as loathing, disgust, anger, etc. Compare anger and hate, for example. One might be very angry at something or someone and claim that they "hate" that object or person when, in fact, they don't.
Hate is long term, dangerous and unhealthy. Anger is short term and, properly managed, perfectly healthy.
In my life, I've never really met anyone that I've hated. Quite a few that I find irritating, or dislike, but never hate.
