I had a user spill dr. pepper on a month old laptop. I had to have HP come out and replace the system board. Didn't say a word about the spillage though :p.

My cheapo Dell keyboard = ~$10.

Still, I keep it clean, and it's running strong after 3+ years of usage.

Jesus! When I eat over my keyboard I make sure not to drop any f*cking food in there, and the sheer fear of my keyboard ever ending up looking like that leads me to cleaning it out every month or so, and yes, that does cover taking every single key off the keyboard and cleaning underneath; not like I've ever found anything under there anyways. Heh, my keyboard survived a full Starbucks Doubleshot and probably a liter of soda over the years :p
