Don't you just hate it when you format and then realize you forgot to back soemthing up?

I did that the first few times, when I also lost my outlook .PST file. Since then I've become wise enough to keep separate partitions and even disks, which helps a lot when reformatting. :)

I usually just buy another hard drive.

Normally 60GB costs me $30 after some Hot Deals magic.

Yes, I do. Luckily, I've had this install for about a year on the same drive so no problems with this... It's good this thread has reminded me to back my stuff up... I always forget to do it. The hardest thing is to organize all the mp3s, pictures etc... I don't have a movie backing up problem since I don't store any (legally, of course, no illegal copies stuff here) backed up movies on the HD, burning them to CDs at once.

i once forgot my documents folder. once you forget though, u never forget again.

I've lost a year and a half worth of e-mails when I formatted. I almost always forget to backup my bookmarks and only backup what is in my My Documents only. If anything is anywhere else, I forget.
