I forgot to backup my mp3s once..... I had to recover the data on the drive and about half of the mp3s were scrambled.

I did that once. Lost 200 digital pictures that I took of my dog right before he died :(:(:(

Never again... I always go through every folder on my computer before a format. And I have a second hard drive with everything important periodically backed up on it.

I usually keep everything and I do mean everything under one folder name (not the MS my documents default folder) but something of my own creation. Then from there, I back up that entire folder.

But somehow, I always forget to burn off the folder at regular intervals so i might miss something if in case something very bad happens. :(

I have 5GB allocated for OS and programs, and the other 75GB of hard drive space I have is file/game space...

speaking of which, when I finally get my AMD system, I'm converting my current machine to my workstation, so I'll be down to 40GB of space... that and dual LCD setup ;)
