I waited until 4 PM just waiting, watching TV, wasting the entire day

I would be extremely pissed if they came after 4 pm.. right as the sun starts going down to deliver it when I'm not home :|

Solution: Have your shit delivered at work!

That could get you fired. Unless you work for a manure manufacturer.

What kind of sweatshop do you work in? I ship all my crap to my work and there are absolutely no problems. Even my boss gets excited and jokingly snoops in to see what I got.

I usually call Fedex or UPS and ask where the driver is. 90% of the time, they are able to guesstimate delivery time. Try it sometime.

I always have packages shipped to work, wherever I've worked. The docks never seem to care; it's the mailrooms that tend to get huffy when personal mail starts showing up...

I had something sent Fedex Priority overnight, supposed to be delivered to my office today.
Of course there was an "aircraft delay" and it's still sitting in Memphis, won't get it until tomorrow.

Which job are you referring to? The school board job or the other one where you got a "promotion"?

As for the OP, we have all been there and it sucks. If I have something important or expensive, I have it shipped to my work.

They sure don't mind here.

Then again, there's a (booze-included) happy hour starting at 4 tomorrow and Friday's a half day.

I was just making fun of his word choice.

My employer has no problem with me having computer equipment shipped to work, but if I had solid waste shipped to work I don't think they would appreciate it very much.

I thank god every day that I live by all the warehouses and hubs in mmy country:). As soon as the tracking shows it has shipped, I can almost guarantee it will be here the next day or two.

I have pretty much everything shipped to work that ships via UPS/Fedex/DHL. Everyone always wants to know what I got. I should have a laptop coming next week from Dell and it's probably shipping via DHL.
