I"m studying right now and I figure, I'll take a quick 10 min break and play some NS. This map has been downloading add-ons for the past 6 mins =\, now I just want to stay and see what the fuss is all about.

never encoutnered these mod maps but i hate those gd sound files that some servers use

With UT2004 it's worse.
Sometimes you download a 5MB or 10MB map, then 20+MB of useless crap (like Zounds), which add nothing to the game.

I don't mind Mod maps too much, though it would be rather nice if they were clearly labeled; but the fools who decide to use a modded map on a low bandwidth server need to die in a fire. At 80k/sec all but the largest maps doesn't take so long to download. When the server is keeping you at 3k/sec life is pain.

I loved Natural Selection, played it a lot back when it was fairly new. Are they going to update it for the new engine?
