dont you hate posters telling you your off topic post should be posted somewhere else

i always wondered. if you're posting off topic in an "Off Topic Forum", doesn't that in essence make the post on-topic? and if it's On Topic, doesn't that nullify the whole "off topic" idea? But the argument that someone may say is, if you're posting "on-topic" in "off-topic", that makes it "off-topic" because on topic != off topic?

😕😕😕

it is pretty bad... especially when it is a somewhat political themed topic... always get the go post in the p&n forums...
I, however, like discussing it in off-topic... its much better then the alternative...

making a post in the P&N forums is like sticking your dick in an electrical outlet...

I think people get tired of people turning Off topic into their personal daily diary. I find the requests for the OP to post in xanga/myspace to be humorous. Occasionally, I agree with it too. A few members do little other than fill us in on the minutae of their daily lives, from getting up in the morning, through every bathroom trip, right up to 'I can't sleep' at the end of the day.

Hmm... I always took ATOT as a place to post whatever doesn't fit in any of the other categories. I don't care if people post a "daily diary" entry, I can make fun of them.

Making fun of people is what ATOT is all about...

The problem is that anything else that's off-topic has been posted about during the past 5 years, and receives instant "Repost"'s.
Anything new, isn't off-topic, it's news, and people want it posted in news.
Except new movies. And then, people complain about spoilers.

Eh, I'm not one of them that is telling people to post on myspace, I just chuckle when others do it.
