Don't you hate it when....

...you turn on your computer and smoke issues forth from the power supply?

Thankfully, the computer appears healthy after replacing the PSU.

I've never actually seen smoke. Mine is usually like this. One day it just stops working and won't restart. So you wait 15 minutes and try again, all of a sudden it is working again. Then later, same thing happens. After a few days, I finally realize the fan on the back is no longer spinning and the PSU is just turning itself off. Luckily, by now I know to check the fan the second this happens, but when I was younger it was a stumper.

What I hate is working an older computer for your friend, AT PSU, and the case switch breaks when you try to remove the wires.

Then after convincing them that an ATX case, motherboard, and processor would be a better deal than a new case for there Socket 7 running a K6-2 the CDRW quits working right after assembling the new system.

I need a .

Why not replace it before it decides one day that it wants to melt your computer?
