You're trying to concentrate and someone keeps trying to initiate a conversation with you? I realize that being social is a good thing, and maybe you're just trying to be friendly, but sometimes not saying anything is the best thing to say, or not say 🙂

I have a huuuuuge paper due on Tuesday which I've been slaving over for the past 2 days, and will be slaving over for another 2 days. Every senior at my school has to do it, and every person's away message on AIM basically says the same thing. I'm smack in the middle of quoting Michael Douglas in Wall Street when an IM box pops up. "What are you doing?"

God dammit i'm doing the same thing every other person who wants to graduate is doing!@$# I'm doing the same thing you're doing, the same thing we've all been doing the past week!

that is the reason why i never keep instant mesengers running except when i know there is a legit need for conversaion

Dude, I so know what you're talking about. The only thing I can think of when I'm slaving away at work with my idiot co-workers is coming home and firing up AIM so I can chat with the peeps on my buddy list. I know what most of them are 46 year old men pretending to be 19 year old lonely girls, but they just sound so cute when we chat that I can't resist!

amazing, you complain about something you have total control over, all i gotz to say is wah.
 
That's why I hate instant messages. Not only that, but there are only 4 people I talk to, and they each use a different program. Then they try to tell me how much better one is than the other.
 
i hate it when in my high school physics class, i'm tryin to work out a really hard question and people keep shouting at me for answers to the easy questions

really? I just hate it when people try to talk to me. Stupid always seems to come flying out of their mouths at a high rate of speed. It is unstoppable.
