I have a professor for my ethics class, and I have to say it's been one of the demanding classes I've ever taken - but what do you expect when you're talking about subjects like abortion, racism, the death penalty, etc1?!?! The point of the class is to engage in discussion, broaden your viewpoints. You don't have to agree with them - but just understand the opposite side of the argument, and learn to support your own arguments.
The teacher's a nice lady, and always willing to work with the class - but you're forced to push yourself if you want to go anywhere. Admittedly, it's not an easy class.
Last semester I took one of her classes, and it seemed like the people who had the hardest time in it were the ones entered the class with a closed mind, and refused to unpack their own reasoning for their beliefs. You know the type - "I believe what I believe just because!" - typical closeminded person.
Today I logged onto RateMyProfessor and saw nothing but unjustified complaints about her It sucks to see someone get put down because of stupid people
