You're coasting down the road and a car on opposing traffic is waiting to turn left.

You're coasting...

And coasting...

And coasting...

And the car does not turn.

Until you pass him.

He holds everyone else up behind him.

While he could have turned left about 5 times without making anyone brake.

I'm a WTFed by this all the time.

when 101 becomes a two lane road and drivers are slow and won't move over, especially after flashing and maybe a slight beep. Note; they are also in the left lane going the speed limit...keep it to the RIGHT people

Heh, I use Coasting to mean going roughly the same speed without hitting the brakes or accelerating.

There's only two driving things that really, really irk me


1. Not being in the proper lane.

If it's 2 lane each way, and you're in the left lane while not passing, or lingering in the left lane after passing someone while having people waiting behind you, kill yourself

If its 1 lane each way, and a short truck/slow traffic lane comes up, and I've been behind you for a mile, and you don't go to the right lane for me to pass, kill yourself.

(Though I never let that stop me from passing someone. I won't hesitate to pass on the right, I'm just greatly annoyed by having to do so)

and

2. Not keeping a constant speed.

My commute is very hilly. I don't care if you are doing 70 in a 65 when it's flat or downhill, but if you go up a hill at 55-60, I'm going to pass you. This is particularly annoying when you are doing 60-65 when it's one lane each way but then speed up to 70+ when a passing lane opens up. You wouldn't believe how often this happens on my commute

No, because I've had drivers who are obviously coasting suddenly speed up. Unless they make it obvious that they are waiting for me to turn (ie slow down, wave, flash), I just assume that they are day-dreaming and forgot about the accelerator.

Drivers who insist on trying to give away their right of way...they have the right of way, but won't take it...forcing you to wait and wonder what the hell they are trying to do...
