Especially when you've been up all night studying for finals. You just feel like throwing up your guts but nothing comes out. And when it does come out, it feels like you're throwing up stomache acid. Goodness. Finals IS suck! But hey thats what I get for procrastinating :)

I feel a bit sick because I have a combination of fruit loops, a big bloody mug of coffee, and 3-4 weeks left to find another job before the money stops coming in.

Heh skoorb, just to make you feel better, your paychecks won't start coming in for a week to two weeks after you start working. :)

I know how ya feel, I was laid off 2 weeks before my wedding/honeymoon and had to live on crackers to be able to pay for it all, then figure out a way to pay the bills due when I got back. Ahh but what does not kill you will make you stronger, eh?

wyvrn Oh christ, thats AWFUL timing. I have a wedding coming up April next year in fact...her mother is worried about me finding a job but I will get one somehow...I can always change cities if I absolutely have to, but thats a last resort. I'm actually going to reject any offers that are not 10% higher than I'm currently making anyway, so it shoudl work out for best.

You're right about the pay coming in late, that is a sweeeeeet bonus! Nothing like being without a paycheck for a month. On the bright side this place pulled the same deal so I should be getting it back when I leave.

Ha! Wait until Isla, Elita1, and the other moms in OT get a hold of this thread! :)

Anyway, I know how you feel, I once had to get up to take my then-fiance into Pittsburgh for a big teacher's qualifying exam, and we had to leave at 6:00am, so I was up at 5 after about 3 hours sleep. Drank a coffee, ate a cinnamon bun...

and promptly gave the coffee and bun "back to nature" in the parking lot :(

Blagh... hate waking up early, and I can NEVER eat until an hour has passed after waking up.

Hoeboy,

You just think you got it bad... Wait until you run all nite in your dreams to get away from the dogs & then wake up, with the guard still down the hall & the clock ticking away & Jeb has already turned you down 3 times for a reprieve.

lol@Optimus...

I was wondering if hoeboy was pregnant! :D

I get car sick pretty easily myself. Mr Isla loves to go up to the mountains, and as we are driving around and around, I start turning a brilliant green. Not a pretty sight... :disgust:

Skoorb, don't worry. Just give it your best effort, and be willing to try new things. Be open to the possibilities and something interesting is bound to happen.

Hey, how much do you all spend on your weddings?

The first time, it was less than $1000 (1985 dollars) because I made my own dress out of white eyelet cotton and got married barefoot in my great aunt's garden. I have a few cute pics... me, 17, doing such an idiotic thing! :D

The second time, I paid for everything with my work-study paychecks I earned in college. I had about $3,000 to work with. Looking back, I really wish I had just finished college first... but he needed my help paying for the rest of his, so.... oh well. My investment is paying off now. ;)

Contrast that with my brother's wedding: $30,000

and one of my sister's wedding was $30,000 as well.

Those were NICE weddings!

Now, I must be quiet... a moment of silence is being observed for 'the passing' of Windogg, but a lot of people don't know that. ;)

My girlfriend's parents are spending about $15k - thankfully as well because if I was paying (at 22 years old), no way I'd be willing to take out a loan for one day of festivities! I did have to pay for the honey moon though...well half of it anyway.

Well it wasn't toooooo bad. Her uncle did foot the bill for the resort and plane tickets in Hawaii :) And we used wedding present money for the rental car hehehe. We did not have a lot of extra money to spend on nightlife, but then again it was our honeymoon :):):):):):):):)

Morning sickness? HA!
I am the queen of morning sickness.
A very small % of pregnant women feel sick all 9 months of pregnancy. I'll give you guys one wild guess what % I fell under. Here's a hint: BARF x 40 weeks=one sick mama.
I lost 10 pounds with my first baby!

Isla, I also had a modest wedding. My parents paid a total of $4,000 I believe. But we all had a wonderful time and it was nice to see 2 astronomically different cultures come together and celebrate. It was especially fun to see all the British side "shocked" and shy as they watched all us Latins dancing like crazy on the dance floor.

Skoorb I hope things work out for you! try not to get too stressed out, in the end all you both need is eachother. I wish you luck!
