i had easy cd 5 ver 5.01 i think on my 16x tdk and it would act funny so since i had an extended repair i decided tp trade it in for a 24x (thanks CompUsa) so everything is fine the first few burns i was usinf nero then i decided to try easy cd first it doesnt reconize my burner so i have to update it fine i download the patch and install it i leave for class and when i come back i have no cd rom drives i first try the controller card its fine then i post here and a guy replies with something that may help another patch for easy cd this time the regestry bad move after i applied the patch i restarted and BOOM a blue screen that not even the emergency repair can fix so im gonna have to reformat and thank God i have another HD with all my important info all i loose is time this may be a rare case but i thought i would share just in case it wasnt heres my other thread
