dont think cool and quiet is doing anything

how do i tell if cool and quiet is working???

I installed the latest version from my mobo manufacturer
im runing an athlon 64 2800+

my idle tem is no diff than before 50 (its in an antec aria)
on cpu-z it says its running at 1800mhz still when idleing

in my bios i have K8 cool & quiet enabled....

am i missing something?

i believe you need to enable it in windows? maybe?

your mobo cd should have a program that lets you run c&q while in windows, you have to both enable it in the bios and install the app.
