OR you can get the EXACT one I got, which is this one, BUT GOTO ebay and search this model! I got mine off ebay for under $20, just as a heads up, it was used and was unit only, but considering these go for upwards of $100+, missing all the other crap I was ok with.

PM me if you want to know who I got mine from off ebay, I just checked and he has more of these at $9.99 + ship in his ebay store, and Im about to get about 3 more of them. BTW these do 108mbs and I know for 100% they will power using a PSP usb/Power cord.

I signed up for the netflix deal and have been enjoying movies from the account on my 360, but before I had no way to do this. All my wired ports are filled with Netgear SC101 pigs, so I had to go wireless and did not want to pay over $80 for the stupid ass network adapter so I got one of these.

It worked just as good I think, all my movies stream clear and almost block free, which is about as good as netflix make them stream. All you got to do is plug this thing in the lan spot, where the wire would go to from your router, hop into setting and go to wireless, finds the device as a wireless bridge, and put in your settings if its a secured connection, which it should be, and thats it, your on line at half the cost.

I dont see much of a slow down when downloading demos, granted its not "wired" fast but its wireless G speed.

But all in all, Im more then happy with mine, was skeptical thinking how the heck was it going to work over my secure network, but now that I know, thought I would pass this on considering you can get 2 of these for the price of one MS Xbox 360 game adapter, which would be good if you got 2 360's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room.

you wouldn't notice much slowdown in internet usage. 802.11g is typically faster than most people's internet. However, the xbox adapter does 802.11a, which is great if you're going to use it as a constant mcx, and is usb-powered instead of requiring a separate power supply like a bridge.

Overpriced? Sure, but not by a whole lot if you plan on taking advantage of the 802.11a support. I tried for a while to do 802.11g mcx and it didn't work out well. COnstant drops in the signal throughput caused major stuttering while watching hdtv, and so I bought a 802.11a access point and it worked great, but shortly thereafter i moved the htpc to the main tv and haven't used it since.

Dude... if the problem was that you didn't have enough wired ports, you could have just gotten a switch.

Well as far as not being usb powered I found that my PSP USB/Power cable fits the unit and have it powered that way through my USB on my 360.

As for not enough wired ports. I decided to get rid of all my wires going all over my home, and in my basement so I made it wireless throughout and used the ports on the back of my router for my network storage devices.

So you can power this with a PSP cable, some of you may already have the cable, if not can be had dirt cheap ;)

Might pick up one of these to avoid paying $5 a month for no phone/broadband connection on my Dish box.

My main pet peeve with it. I had my network nice and secure(as much as wireless can get) and then I get the 360 adaptor and have to downgrade to WPA, I was pissed. It's not really that big of a deal in my area as it seems more people dropped out of high school than completed college. So my threat level is pretty low but that is besides the point, for $100 this thing should offer everything.

If you ask me, it's worth paying the extra cash and downgrading just for the size and ease of use. The integrated wireless menus and simple installation makes me a fan.

I paid $94 for mine and even though I was reluctant to drop that kind of coin on it, I would do it again. It's a quality adapter that hasn't dropped its connection yet. I've seen a lot of bad wifi adapters and the MS one has been solid.

Wireless isn't secure anyhow... My best advice is to make your passphrase long and complicated and change it often. Either that, or just hardcode your router to ONLY accept requests from the MAC addresses of your wireless devices. That will at least give the hackers a challenge in figuring out what MAC addresses you allow....(good luck)

I have taken apart 360's and its accessories, one of which has been a 360 adapter I bought broken, like most my stuff for the 360 has been, and if you have seen some of the piss poor soldering jobs as I have seed done on the network adapters, and video cables you would take that statement back. Ive bought 2 broken 360 adapter in hopes of fixing them, and since before I have already opened and took apart a 360 video cable and seen how crappy of a soldering job they did in that, what I saw when I ripped and torn apart the adapters didnt surprise me much.

I have a work of caution for you though, make sure to NEVER drop your adapter on a hard surface. That antenna in the adapter is a SUPER thin wire, held to the pcb by a very small clip, one good jolt on the right corner and it will pop off. MS stuff back in the Xbox 1 days was some good stuff, now all the stuff they push out is over priced garbage, with soldering jobs that leave me to wonder how some of that stuff still works, or answers the question as to why it works for about a year then dies.

Its as if they have gone to the most cheapest manufacturing shop in china and had some of the stuff made with what I have seen and YES this was all REAL MS goods with the MS laser sticker on them. Next adapter I think about buying and taking apart, if I do such a foolish thing, I will take a picture, or anything MS Xbox 360 related for that matter. It all looks great on the outside, and they spent a great deal of money making sure you cant open the stuff up if you dont know how, or wish to spend a few hours tearing it all apart, but once you get into the nitty gritty of it all, you just sit back and go

"What junk, I paid how much for this? My 8 year old can solder better!"

I've been using a WGA54G for my Xbox for awhile now, works great. Got mine off ebay for like 40 shipped awhile back.

My Xbox is nowhere near my router, and running cable isn't an option, so this was definitely a much better idea than spending $100 on the Xbox one.
