My car has 600+hp right now and will have more than that in the coming monthes. It is mainly a street car, and started life just under 300hp. I have never gone faster than 20km/h or so over the limit. I think one time I hit 140km/hr for a split second on an on ramp. I get passed by minivans and beat up SUVs. I built my car to be fast at the race track, why would I risk anything on the street.

Yes, but you built it to go fast in it.

We don't know where the car in the OP was wrecked do we? May well have been on a track.

Then again, it might have happened like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL8nXoj2Qd0

That was the point I was making.... are you agreeing with me? Anyone that would buy a car like this (not entry level car either) and invest 15,000+ in modifications likely isnt the demographic to go around doing stupid things on the street. I bet its a racing incident.

The majority of videos online relating to G35 are street racing, not track racing. Although you yourself aren't the street racing type, you would be shocked at how many times you see high-end and modified cars racing on the streets. It's epidemic here in DFW, though I rarely see Vettes, Vipers, or Porsches participating. It's usually modified Mustangs, M3s, Civic/Integra/RSX (lots of B18 and K20 turbos around here), SRT Neons, etc.

Without background we're all pissing in the wind, so here's my take:

Another newb with too much money and not enough skill put on a hot show for his friends at the business park and, like a glider pilot suddenly given the sticks to an F16, was in over his head and fugged up hard.
