According to CNN.com

"Can the remaining electors still pick the president with Florida shut out of the process?

Yes, according to Neal Katyal, a constitutional law professor at Georgetown Universitys law school. He said the 12th Amendment to the U.S. only requires a majority of the electors to vote and nothing in the Constitution says all electors must vote."

so even if Florida hasn't completed the vote they can still vote for the president. No wonder Bush is worried and want's an end to it.

Right you are but can you imagine the hoopla if this were to happen?

Palm Beach County is screaming about the idiots who live there being denied their rights. Imagine a whole state? Would undermine the election process even more.

If florida doesn't vote, then Gore would win because he has the majority of the votes so far.

If you think Electors are going to defect, you are sorely mistaken.. Electors are always HIGHLY respected and trusted members of the party.. these aren't just people who they choose randomly or carelessly.. you choose the absolute most trusted and respected members of your party to be an Elector.. they will not change their vote.

No one said anything about an elector changing his vote. BTW only 26 of the 50 states prohibit chaging their vote.

Gore right now has the majority of electoral votes.

But,"I TRUST THE PEOPLE" George will surely sue to use the government to overturn states votes.:|:|:|:|
