That reminds me...
A few years ago, when I was in the Southern U.S., I spent the night at the house of some friends who were out of town, as an official "dogsitter"... and I had two guest bedrooms to chose from. So I went inside one of the bedrooms (one that, judging from the smell of the air, had not been entered in a while)... Everything was neatly arranged, and the bed was made. So I pull the bedspread to see how dusty the pillows were (I'm allergic to dust) - thinking that I need to go and air them well before sleeping there.
Lo and behold, the moment I move the bedspread, there's a large, hairy spider running on the pillow. Which, of course, made me jump and look for some object to squish it. It got away - later, as I thought of it, and checked the encyclopedia, I realized it was a huge black widow.
Needless to say, did not slep that night. Luckily, they had 300 channels on their satellite TV...
