i had a 200 watt pmpo that turned out to be only about 30 watts rms... you might want to look into this more before you jump on it.

i have the bigger version of these the 850 watt pmpo's these are some fine speakers!!! I've had these for about 2 years now, and I have had only one problem with them, and thats a small buzzing moise every once in a while in the subwoofer, but I think that is even caused by some of the wireless signals i have on my computer.... I got the 850's for 30 bucks of ebay, I would check there too, but if you want some cheap speakers boka makes the best generic

Actually, these speakers are really good for the price. This is the type of set that you'd expect to pay about $40 on the shelf.

I don't know of any better speakers for less than $40.00. We give them away with entry level systems. They sound a hell of a lot better than the .99 variety and, for the money, produce a decent sound for the novice user.

Anyone know of any better speakers for ten bucks?

All jokes aside, it's a decent deal for those of us who are still trying to pay off the mortgage on their cardboard box :) Also, ferengis can buy like 30 of those, egay them and buy the z560s with the profit they make. I'm pretty sure you can get at least $15 for those on egay. They are about 10 watts RMS btw, so big SPNAK for all who fell for the PMPO vs RMS discussion trick.
