Our archrival the Dutch Power Cows (DPC) have been whoopin our butts and it's time to show them AnandTech is the best. We were number one for a while until these windmill people showed up. Time to take back our rightful place in the top spot.

In a nutshell you load a small client on your system that runs in the background. The client will use idle time to crack RC5 encryption blocks. There is NO impact on system performance

If you have more questions, just drop by the "Distributed Computing" forum which is the friendliest place on the entire forums. Members there are more than happy to answer your questions and get you up and running.

CALLING SYS ADMINS!!! We can retake 1st place with your help. With permission from your bosses, load the client as a service (hidden) on 20 - 30 systems. If 50 sys admins do this, you guys can push us halfway to our goal.

I am currently loading the DNet cliuent on laptops as a security measure. Stolen laptops cracking RC5 blocks have been tracked down and the thief arrested. Consider using it as a more active theft recovery system.

Did I mention there is a cash reward for the person that find the correct encryption key?

I am slowly getting there though. The last few days have been bad with the athlon going down, but now that its back up.. I should be able to get back to speed.

My computer sucks, I'm only cracking at 700k/sec or so, but it's something hehe. Hopefully it'll increase next week when I upgrade to a p2 450. If I have enough parts left over, I'll make another computer for cracking
