you sure can. as long as you have some nvidia forceware drivers installed, coolbits will work. coolbits is just a registry tweak that will integrate into the nvidia drivers menu.

The video card i'm talking about is still using its original drivers that came with it.

actually depends what version of the drivers it is. i dnot think coolbits works too well with very old drivers. why not download the new ones now?

NOTE: Coolbits 2 is not fully compatible with driver versions older than 55.xx. If you do happen to run this tweak with drivers older than 55.xx you will more than likely get errors at startup! To enable full compatibility, you must disable the options that are causing issues with your current setup.

jsut download the new 81.xx drivers.

Can you give me a link to thouse drivers, also will that driver update everything like for .eg. I remember to update Half Life i had to download one driver then download another just to use the lastest drivers.

By the way i'm not sure what make video card that geforce 4 is, cause i don't have it would me, its at my cuzin's house (i learnt him it for a while till he can get his own).

Would that drivers be incompatible with that video card?

And should i delete the old drives first, and if so what program should i use.

if you're installing over older nVidia drivers, you should be fine. and yes, all GeForce cards, from the 256, to the 7800 series can use the same drivers.

not quite true, i think support for geforce 256 and the geforce2 tis have been dropped since 71.xx revisions.

delete drivers by doing the windows uninstall from control panel. thne use drivercleaner pro(free, google it).

all geforce 4 will be compatible.

actually, some geforce2 cards, not all, were dropped via the newer drivers...you still should be fine for another good couple of years.

really? The last time I installed old nVidia drivers they had it seperated into "Riva/TNT" and "GeForce". *shrugs*
